Google Mobile "Assembled" Will Cheap Sale
Jakarta - Google is working on a project that allows the assembly of smart phone hardware components on the phone can be replaced easily . Google hopes that assembled the phone could go on sale as early as 2015 and priced at a fairly cheap .
According to Time magazine report , mobile assemblies will be sold into the market at a price of 50 U.S. dollars ( approximately USD 580,000 ) . There are three sizes to offer mobile assemblies , namely the Mini , Medium , and Jumbo . Thickness of not more than 10 mm .
Google also will provide hardware components for mobile assemblies . The plan , Google is only focused on offering basic hardware specifications and low cost .
Google's mobile phone project assembly is referred to as Project Ara and worked from autumn 2012 by a team of Advanced Technology and Projects ( ATAP ) led Paul Eremenko .
Time reported that cell phones use radio component which only supports Wi-Fi connection and do not provide cellular connections . Nevertheless, ROOF team has a mission to bring support cellular connections on mobile Google assemblies .
This team has a target finish the prototype ( prototype ) phones assembled in the coming weeks .
ROOF team did not explain to any country that assembled the phone will be sold . Google plans to hold a conference in April 2014 to tell in detail about the assembly cell phones .
ROOF team actually is a division under the Motorola Mobility . After Google agreed to sell Motorola Mobility to Lenovo in January 2014 , the division did not participate ROOF sold and is now under Google .
ROOF will continue to conduct research and development of technology for Google . Later , Lenovo had the opportunity over the licensed technology developed by ROOF
