Jakarta - In a surprise move , CEO and President of Sony Computer Entertainment America ( SCEA ) Jack Tretton announced his resignation . The figure is nearly two decades menggawangi Sony 's PlayStation business units effectively no longer served late March. Sony's Tretton said the release was part of an agreement between Tretton and this Japanese company not to renew his contract . Replace Tretton , as quoted by Time , Monday ( 03/10/2014 ) , there is the CEO and President of SCEA Shawn Layden who will begin work on April 1. Tretton began his career at Sony in 19 years ago . In 2006 , he was appointed to carry out duties as CEO and President of SCEA . Tretton recorded career hit. He managed to bring all the consoles Sony PlayStation achieve success in the United States ( U.S. ) .
