Yahoo also will discontinue support for some of the products that sounds familiar you may not even have heard of, such as Yahoo Pipes, and PlaceSpotter GeoPlanet API for developers.A number of services for long products such as Apple also discontinued support for Yahoo Mail on iOS4 and earlier versions. And as already mentioned earlier, Yahoo shut map service started late June. However, services like Flickr will continue to support the Yahoo Maps.
"At Yahoo, we continue to focus on our main product, search, communications and digital content. As part of that focus, we have to choose among the existing products, make sure the resources that we have really utilized properly," said Yahoo statement as quoted by PC World, Friday (05/06/2015).
In addition, Yahoo also shut down Yahoo Movies, Yahoo! Music, Yahoo! TV, and Yahoo! Autos in Spain, France, Canada, England, Germany and Italy.
