Hundreds of Thousand Powerbank Withdrawn Because Vulnerable Burned


 
      Seattle - American e-commerce giant, Amazon, attracted six variants powerbank sold in the United States. Withdrawal of the powerbank's six variants after working with the local Consumer Product Safety Commission. Powerbank that has been sold from December 2014 to July 2017 is known to have the risk of overheating that can cause the unit to melt to cause a fire hazard. Quoted from The Verge on Wednesday (14/3/2018), the six variants are drawn has a power capacity of 16,100 mAh each, 10,000 mAh, 5,600 mAh, 3,000 mAh, 2,000 mAh with micro USB cable, and 3,000 mAh with cable micro USB. 

While the variants are B00ZQ4JQAA, B00LRK8JDC, B00LRK8IVO, B00LRK8I7O, B00LRK8EVO, and B00LRK8HJ8. Amazon has sent an email to the buyers of the six powerbank variants and recommends them to stop using them. In the email there is also a link that can be used to perform product registration and refund instructions and how to resend. Now all the powerbanks on the withdrawal list have been removed from the Amazon website and can no longer be purchased. 

The US Consumer Product Safety Commission said there were about 260,000 units affected by the withdrawal. Previously Amazon received 53 reports that reveal a number of powerbank overheating until the unit burned.
