Jakarta - Xiaomi released two teaser videos about Artificial Intelligent (AI) feature owned by Mi MIX 2S smartphone. Both videos were uploaded on Chinese social networking site Weibo. Reported by GSM Arena, Friday (23/3/2018), the two videos featuring famous artists and their artwork.
The first video featured the classic Voice of Spring tones from Johann Strauss and a number of faces from artists like Van Gogh, as well as unlock symbols. Based on the video, Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S is predicted to have face recognition technology. The technology can recognize the face of its users, including when wearing a hat or beard.
Another teaser video features a number of famous paintings and a symbol allegedly related to the scene or scene recognition feature. Xiaomi supposedly equips Mi MIX 2S with the scene recognition feature to optimize camera settings, such as landscape shots, buildings, people and animals. Unfortunately, so far not so much information is known about Mi MIX 2S.
This smartphone was previously reported to have Snapdragon 845 processor, 3,400mAh battery, dual rear camera, 8GB RAM and 256GB of internal memory. Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S will be announced in Shanghai, China, on March 27, 2018. This is not the first time information about Mi MIX 2S is outstanding. Previously, Xiaomi's Weibo account surprised the fans by displaying three photos of the smartphone. In the photos, the artist Kris Wu holds Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S.
Based on leaked images, Mi MIX 2S design looks not too different than its predecessor, Mi MIX 2, which was released in September 2017. Wu seemed to cover the part bezel that Mi MIX 2S, so the selfie camera position is not visible. Unfortunately, no other information is included on the photo. Regarding the specifications, Mi MIX 2S is reported to have Snapdragon 845 processor, while its predecessor is Snapdragon 835.
Other specifications include 8GB RAM, 256GB internal memory, 3,400mAh battery and OS Android Oreo. This smartphone has a dual 12MP rear camera with Sony IMX363 sensor. Mi MIX 2S is likely to have an on-screen fingerprint scanner or facial recognition feature for the security system.
Xiaomi latest device has a 5.99 inch screen with a thinner bezel, when compared Mi MIX 2. So far, there is no information about the selling price and launch date in the market.
