WhatsApp Send 54 Billion Messages Each Day
Jakarta - WhatsApp messaging app may be the most successful this time . Users continues to grow , so does the number of messages sent per day , even though the issue had suffered a breach of privacy .
More recently , WhatsApp announced today there were 54 billion messages sent every day . Cross- platform messaging app handles about 18 billion and 36 billion messages incoming messages out per day .
This figure , as reported by the Technology Tell, Tuesday ( 4/03/2014 ) was very impressive . A mobile analyst Benedict Evans said the amount is far more than the total SMS messages globally each passing day .
Actually not surprising , given the current WhatsApp has 430 million active users . Although many competitors have sprung up , WhatsApp seems still a favorite . Simple appearance and ease of messaging keep him interested .
WhatsApp Inc. was founded in 2009 by two men named Brian Acton and Jan Koum . Both are former senior employee at online giant Yahoo . They are already working on Yahoo in about 20 years .
January Koum who originally had the idea of creating an application that could be broadcasting its status when a person can not be contacted for some reason .
Koum Acton was invited to work with him . Be then they create a start-up technology company called WhatsApp Inc. is located in Santa Clara , California .
