Jakarta - Android M will certainly be a major star in the event Google I / O 2015 to be held on May 28, 2015 when the United States. This OS will replace Lollipop as the latest Android OS.
Is Hiroshi Lockheimer, VP Engineering of Android which ensures that the Android M will be introduced to the public in Google's annual event. And it is not the only information he gave.
According Lockheimer, starting today Google will provide a massive update to the Android OS annually. This means that in 2016 Google will launch Android N, Android O in 2017 and beyond.
Then there will be no minor updates as occurs in transition between Android Jelly Bean to KitKat, which lasted more than one year, as quoted from Phone Arena, Wednesday (05/27/2015).
Unfortunately Lockheimer not divulge the features that will be presented in the Android M, which is called by some parties will have the name 'Macadamia Nut Cookies'.
But reportedly Android M will have battery power consumption more efficient, as well as the efficient use of RAM. Pengiritan power power consumption is reportedly done by eliminating some of the features that connect to the GPS.
In addition, there is also a mention that Android M will have standard features such as fingerprint authentication, which uses fingerprint sensor as an additional safety device.
Google is already going to embed these features in Android 5.0 Lollipop. This issue arises because the prototype Nexus 6 reportedly been using the fingerprint sensor, although ultimately there is no device that is released to the market.
It was unclear what the reason Google for not immediately release such support, despite the many vendors who use the fingerprint sensor. The existence of support for fingerprint sensors will certainly make the Android ecosystem for the better.
