Jakarta - WhatsApp agrees acquired Facebook worth $ 19 billion . Some users were concerned the data would be used to spy Facebook and business interests .
However WhatsApp boss reiterated it will not happen .
" Respecting your privacy is in our DNA and we build WhatsApp in order to know as little as possible about you . You do not have to give your name , and we do not also ask for your email , " said CEO WhatsApp , Jan. Koum who insists he does not know anything about WhatsApp users .
" We do not know your birthday . We do not know your home address . We do not know where you work . We do not know what you like , what you are looking for on the internet or your location , " added Koum .
" None of the data is ever collected or stored by WhatsApp and we really do not have plans to change that , " said the man born in the Ukraine , quoted from Cnet , Wednesday ( 19/03/2014 ) .
Koum declared Facebook acquisition will not change the basic values WhatsApp in a matter of maintaining the privacy of the wearer .
